On a starry night sky your eyes easily capture the five bright stars in the beautiful constellation of Cassiopeia. In your summer garden your eyes will also easily be captured by the stars of Cassiopeia, but this time from the plant Cassiopeia. This beautiful small bush that is introduced in the summer 2006 by Toftly in a fine big pot is an exciting novelty for the summer garden. The plant produces a large number of clusters with small star formed flowers in pastel red shades. Already before the flowers come out there are developed decorative buds with a very intense red colour and after flowering the many fine berries gives a lot of exciting adventures in pitchers on the terrace and in the garden. The plants are in the shops in June and should be planted in a light place in the garden or on the terrace. The plant should be watered and fertilized regularly along with the other beautiful summer flowers. Cassiopeia makes a fine display with buds, flowers and berries until the winter occurs. The fine berries are attractive winter food for the gardens birds. Cassiopeia originates from Mexico, Guatemala and Costa Rica where it grows wild in the nature. We know these countries for Tequila, Sombrero and Tortilla, but this new summer plant also has its roots in these countries. |
